Your account timezone is set to the timezone based on where the account was created. For instance, if your GoReminders account was registered in New York City, by default your account will be set to EST.
If you need to schedule appointments in other timezones, enter them using the equivalent time in your personal timezone, but reminder messages will display the date and time in the customer’s local time.
-
For example, if you have a call with a customer in Los Angeles at 9:00 AM PST and you are located in New York City, you will select 12:00 PM for the appointment and select the Pacific Time (with DST) option for the Customer Time-zone. To enable the Customer Time-zone function go to the Appointment Settings page, select ‘Always show Customer timezone selector on appointment form?’ and press Save.
The time zone of the GoReminders account does not impact when reminders get sent if your customer is in a different timezone. For example, if your reminder schedule is set to send reminders a day ahead of time, that means the reminder for the above appointment would be sent at 12:00 PM Eastern Time (9:00 AM Pacific Time) a day before the appointment.
Allow GoReminders to Check Your Browser’s Time-zone
GoReminders can check if your browser’s time-zone is the same as your account time-zone when you’re using the GoReminders app. This is helpful if you’re working in a different time-zone than the location where the GoReminders account was originally registered.
To enable the Check User Time-zone feature follow these steps:
-
Go to the Account Settings page.
-
Select “Yes” below “Check user timezone”.
-
Click Save.
